less energy in production
Made at 100 °C — 90% less energy use than ceramic tiles. Zero-waste production and full circularity.

Europe's highest fire-resistance class for a façade material. Releases no toxic substances when burning — a prerequisite for public buildings, schools and high-rises.
94% lighter than natural stone — installation without heavy equipment, suited to renovation and lightweight structures.
Including the CE mark, EU Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and approvals from independent bodies — Bureau Veritas, TÜV, UL.
Econiclay (MCM) is a novel material created from natural substances. It transforms otherwise idle raw materials – such as natural soil and stone and mining residues – into lightweight, flexible and highly durable building solutions.
This material is made into flexible claddings (eCoverings), building-integrated solar panels (eSolarFacade / BIPV) and digital screen surfaces (eDisplay).
The material successfully replaces heavy concrete and natural stone. Because it is very light and flexible, you can clad curved walls with ease, without making the building heavy or burdening its structure.
The material does not ignite or spread fire (fire class A) and withstands the test of time five times better than plastic. It is a safe, long-lasting replacement for both plastic and metal.
No hazardous chemicals are used in production. The material releases no toxic substances into the air during its lifetime or later recycling.
The production process uses low temperatures, renewable energy and a closed water loop (zero waste water). At the end of its life cycle the material is easy to reuse or return to nature.
Every PHOMI façade solution passes Europe's most stringent checks — CE conformity, certified fire safety and a third-party-verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). The products have been tested in both Indonesia's hot, humid climate and Northern Europe's biting frost, and installed across more than 80 million m² in over 120 countries.
Hotels, residential buildings, shopping centres, restaurants — see how architects use flexible stone in 120+ countries. A few examples from international projects.
